It had never occurred to me that such a large portion of opioid prescriptions would be given without even an indication of pain. What would be the healthcare provider's rationale for giving these out? Are refill requests not really scrutinized?

Yeah, podcasts definitely augment other activites, though some series like 99% invisible or Radiolab can be engaging enough to listen to serve as standalone entertainment.

Is there any particular type of biking you do for exercise, e.g. road or mountain biking?

I started a job this week so it's been entirely made up of on-boarding. It's kept me steadily busy but the week's flown by because of it.

The book that I've been recommending recently is Bad Blood by John Carreyrou. It's insane being able to read about the work culture and scheming that Theranos got away with for so long.

The thing I came to appreciate a lot was how the finale was made up of the final three instead of a two-person bakeoff - definitely helped to maintain the suspense
