Comment on Razer closes its game store after ten months in ~games
heydabop Sounds like Epic might have read it though? I think they've been able to snag 1 or 2 exclusive deals with non-indie companies to publish on their store instead of Steam (albeit I think it's just...and most importantly, all the developers, and therefore all the games, are on Steam.
Sounds like Epic might have read it though? I think they've been able to snag 1 or 2 exclusive deals with non-indie companies to publish on their store instead of Steam (albeit I think it's just for a year or something). That and they're not a startup and probably have money to throw into their store for a while to wait on momentum. They also at least have a decent number of people interacting with their store daily just from Fortnite launches.
Granted maybe those exclusive deals will result in minimal sales and there won't be any more (which tbh seems likely), but it'll be interesting to watch over the next few months.
EDIT: Just got to the part about revenue changes share not being enough...

(Also why would you want a Mac based server?)
That aside, nothing wrong with making people more aware of this option as it probably is a better value once your off the bargain bin floor of VPSs.

heydabop So I only watch hockey at the NHL and AHL levels, but how hard is it to play 10 games a week as a goalie? I assume amateur leagues see less and softer shots but they've still gotta be covered in bruises and their knees and hips probably aren't happy either. But maybe it's easy enough that it's like a practice for some of them? Like the one who did it to stay fresh while out of the NHL for a season. -

I've worked for companies that had us "soft delete" posts and messages even though we weren't doing analytics or anything on them. Granted maybe that was a plan in the works that I wasn't made aware of... And I'm sure Twitter is doing analytics and such on all of it. So I guess in their case it's probably still intentional. :/
And it's probably easier to be able to say "I don't know, we don't have it" if any authority ever comes knocking as well.If anyone is interested in a more secure way to DM people (albeit less convenient than Twitter and requires phone numbers) I recommend Signal.
All GSM network operators are required to let any GSM compliant device onto their network. It's simple to buy a non-carrier branded phone from a manufacturer and then use it on GSM carriers without their bloatware or OS updates.
However many people still buy direct from their carrier and suffer all this because a) it's a little more convenient b) we live in a county (the US) where paying for something when you buy it is unheard of and carriers offer 2 year payment plans and c) they don't care. Hell some people dislike software updates because it changes how their phone works and looks. They're blissfully ignorant of new features or security updates, they just want the call, text, and camera buttons to look the same and be in the same place.
