I feel like in most of the other episodes that follow this formula (e.g. "The Hunted", "Who Watches the Watchers" from TNG) there was a lot more attention paid to explaining the alien civilization itself. In this case, the conflict between sides was barely explained, and that made the shocked reaction to Pike's speech from the alien crowd seem pretty hollow.
IDK. I think I liked it overall and I think it has the potential to get better, but yeah, the first episode was pretty derivative. I haven't watched the second episode because I don't have a subscription, but I am curious to see how the series develops.

javathunderman This kind of social media oriented phone that's really just a stupid money grab reminds me of the HTC First (the "Facebook phone"), just with the "freedom" flavoring that these people love so much. This kind of social media oriented phone that's really just a stupid money grab reminds me of the HTC First (the "Facebook phone"), just with the "freedom" flavoring that these people love so much.

Essentially this was a continuation of his anti-interventionist/anti-war views. I'd say that some of his anti-interventionist views have influenced the progressive movement's foreign policy opinions as well.

I've never been that into FPS games (apart from SUPERHOT, if you count that as one) but Valorant is pretty good.
Tron: Uprising - it was a fantastic show developed after the release of Tron Legacy, but much like that movie (and the original film in the franchise), it never really developed a solid audience.
