What a great article. I don't typically read other people's opinion on data but this one has the 'it' factor. Personally I would like to see the raw data, and how it was acquired but that's for another day. To learn the double talk and frankly the ways of gaming the tax system by those that can and have the means to do it, this article is for you.

Not necessarily offbeat but currently in the USA, we are in the thick-of-it when it comes to politics, voting etc., I started researching other places and found this nugget from our friends down under. As it turns out, fines are given out for not voting! Australia, if wild life don't get you, Aussie government will! As my Chicago friends will tell you, "Vote early and Often and not necessarily in that order!" Hope you enjoy levity for Friday.

If the matter has not been resolved after the first three notices have been issued, the matter will be referred to the Fines Enforcement Registry (FER), if you:

Having beers with a German friend (I only got one!) and we got into this conversation of real estate taxes etc., We somehow got into this whole thing of how back in the good ol' days of East/West Germany they had a guy who built his house in the no man's area of the Wall and was able to live for years without having to pay taxes. The backstory is also very interesting not sure if it's true but interesting none the less. Next time I find myself in Berlin I'll probably stop by and take a selfie...

It's odd that at face value Democrats have had a positive improvement on Unions and yet the Union leadership doesn't want to endorse the party for this year's Presidential election. My knowledge of Politics is not good enough to comment on it, others have already said it better than I would be able to do. However, as a passive observer I find the dichotomy of it frustrating. Just another social, economical etc., issue I have to make peace with.

I really don't understand how Boeing couldn't expect anything less. Almost 95% rejection with good reason; no bonus of an item that is currently in place as far as I understand and the raise would be substantially less than what the workers are asking. What a facepalm time! Like really, what did they expect.
