Companies, executives, managers, and colleagues are not your friends. A friend is a friend, and if you are lucky, you will have or make friends at work who may or may not have the roles that I listed. Having been mentored by some really great friends I made at work has been very helpful to me in my life. The number one rule of work, is never get comfortable at work. Sounds like fight club, because it is. Update your resume every year at a minimum. Never stop learning, taking a course/certificate, podcast, reading etc., are and always will be helpful in your future. That's an every day life task. Secondly, always keep an eye on the job market/economy/job role etc., apply to jobs (even if you feel you are not qualified) and if asked, go to interviews, never turn down an interview request. Coming out of college I had an idea of what I was going to do, today, many years later I find myself in a role that I could have never imagined. That plus having some life long friends I have been lucky to make has made it worthwhile.

It could take months to know why some evacuation orders lagged in the Los Angeles fires.
The delivery system for order to evacuate is delivered via other comm links like Nationwide Emergency Alert Tests that TV and radio stations perform or cellular (mine I have disabled). I don't live in the affected area but I would assume that's how this information was sent.

Actions have an impact on both material cost and society cost that materialize themselves in the USA with a dysfunctional union. What is happening in Hawaii, what will happen in California are another example of the challenges that people with good intentions end up with a mess and very unhappy group of people. I don't have a solution per-se but I do know that pushing down what may seem as good policy is having a negative impact on those who are the unfortunate recipients who have to live under that policy. Those that have money don't care, they can weather the impact but the rest of us are left to fend to ourselves which ultimately result in anger and worst, just giving up.

Evil spirits are all around me, thank god for science and urine.
Through my conversations with those who consider themselves "Democrat or Republican" I've said the same thing. Both right, and left leaning people are the Neville Chamberlain of our times. The distinction of politics is not what Elon Musk is about. It's the realignment of the World Order. Money, power are the tools used to realign this view of this new World Order. Project 2025 may be the framework for this new world order. In this case, Elon may be a tool being used to implement it. Knowingly or not, he will be complicit in the actions being taken. The question I have is the same, who among the Western leaders will be the Churchill of our time. So far in the USA, the Democrats and Republicans have failed to counteract this view that Donald Trump has to his own benefit brought to power.
