You're not wrong, but I do think the experience at Reddit will get worse because power users will begin to leave if they don't like the experience - moderators and so on. if they go, things will definitely feel worse, even if the majority of users don't end up leaving. i do wonder what that will mean for the long-term atrophy of users though.
