I’m still in the process of evaluating the design changes, but there’s one thing that bothers me a lot and I haven’t seen mentioned by anyone else: all the UI elements are.. bigger? As in, more padding, height, width. Buttons are huge, sheets steal a ton of the screen, lists that occupied a single screen now require scrolling.

It makes my device feel smaller and kinda childish? Like those toy phones with huge icons that make animal noises when pressed.

Is it just me? Is it just an impression, since I have no way to verify it?

Alternatively, have you checked the second-hand market?

After picking up an OP-1, I needed to put in some practice. In the interest of completing something and refusing the search for perfection, I worked, completed and published a track in a couple of days.

I loved the fact that you can easily sample the radio for the OP-1. I did so in this track and the resulting stems are heavily modified throughout. It felt novel and powerful enough to push me towards the finish line, with a concrete and achievable idea in mind. 10/10 for effort, 5/10 for the track.

After watching this, and also being an avid Overwatch player, I downloaded the game and spent a couple of hours playing.
I had fun but in literally my first game I encountered a cheater. This was casual, but still.
Yesterday night I was playing a match and got killed 1v1 by someone that was clearly wall-hacking, and it made me think:

    1. How can I practice in a safe environment if casual is radically unbalanced for non-cheating players?
    2. If the situation is representative of state of the game, I am worried about getting into comp. (along my general ladder-anxiety). Would you play in a real game of poker where your money is on the line and 20% of the other players can see your hand?
    3. How can I handle the emotional baggage of playing an adversarial game, knowing some people are just.. not putting the work in? I don’t really understand their mindset.

I’d love to learn to play the game, it just feels like a bad investment. I’m open to changing my mind tho, feel free to chime in :)

My Japanese characters reviews have also been piling up in WaniKani. It’s harder to keep up with that lately, and seeing 500+ reviews that take almost half a day to kick down is kinda disheartening.

Got me hooked. A pretty different mood from the first one, going opposite from the action-packed requirements of the pilot: kindness was at the center of the whole thing. This episode was very sweet.
It made me remember, I heard once that Japanese people consider old age not like a burden but more as of a rebirth.

Small detail that I noticed (definitely not a spoiler, hiding this anyway in case you don't like reading theories)

Kenya, red eyes? Same color as the murderer?

First time watching this! I quite liked the first episode - it gives off a slight Satoshi Kon vibe, which is great in my book.
I hope it's the kind of show in which a good eye for detail will be rewarded; I strongly believe every mystery story should give all the puzzle pieces to the viewer. I suspect the people re-watching this will get a kick out of it!
