You hit the nail on the head, your age has nothing to do with you being able to perform the job.

short answer: Yes. Slightly longer answer: We already have the capability to form a new government if we feel the current one is beyond salvaging (I currently believe that this is not the case)....

Slightly longer answer: We already have the capability to form a new government if we feel the current one is beyond salvaging (I currently believe that this is not the case). The problem is that you have to have a group of people willing to work together towards a common goal. Now those people may not agree on every topic (and they probably will not), but if they are willing to unite; then those are the people that get stuff done.

yeah, but that cannot happen unless we change the Constitution, which would require a majority of the states to request a Constitutional Convention and having all of them agree to a new amendment....

I would really like to see more scientists, doctors, and engineers run for public office; at least then we have a good chance of someone on the committee knowing what they are talking about.

Seconded. The amount of crap that Facebook has been able to get away with is just insane, and the "congressional investigation" was just a show for the masses.

no, you and me are in agreement; trump could not get the money legally, so now he is trying to make an end run around Congress. Here's hoping Mueller finds enough dirt to have Congress impeach him.

no, but by declaring an "emergency" makes it easier to get funds without strict congressional approval.

I was not suggesting any of that should be allowed here, just the stuff that's not sexually suggestive or worse.

Reddit is a business, they want to attract more advertisers; so they give content creators the boot. Yeah you should be pissed about it, but instead of just complaining about it; communities like this one should be encouraging those content creators to come here. Build a place that they can share their art, and talk about their interests.

I for one have never been into anime or any of that stuff, just not my cup of tea; but I have seen subreddits that I liked, and I contributed to; get shut down in the name of being "advertiser friendly" meaning whatever the admins of the site do not like.

The United States has been in a constant state of emergency since 9-11. IIRC, the measure comes up for re auth every year or so, and the president has to re sign it.

I agree with what has already been said, but I would like to add something that you did not specifically ask for. Make sure whatever computer that you are doing your work from has a reliable power supply, meaning have a battery backup. Also, consider having physical backups of your work, assuming it is not stored remotely.

I work from home and I cannot count the number of times I have lost power while I was working.
