The first thing that comes into my mind (in the genres you mentioned) is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's such an enjoyable book with amazing sense of humour, a diverse world and the best part is that it really doesn't feel like you're forcing to get through and just feels like a breeze (which I guess would really help in your case)

The Time I got reincarnated as a Slime - it's sorta has lessened the charm it had in cour 1 (given they're rushing so much) but still is enjoyable. I don't worry too much about the omitted parts given cour 1 already sold me on reading the manga and LN after the season ends. I just hope they don't rush it in S2 like they did with cour 2 because cour 1 (as heard from source readers) was really well adapted and was really a breeze to watch through

I'll watch Mob Psycho 100 (was waiting for weekend, I usually watch Mob on weekends so no review of the current episode)

Samurai Champloo (currently @ ep 17 and it's a BLAST. It already made it's way in my favourite anime pool and has never let my expectations down even a bit (yet). I'm loving the animation style, the fight choreography, the fun interactions and (ofcourse) the hip hop music integration. Also the fictional references to real world stuff is amazing too (partly because I know the part of history they often references and the ones I don't know, it encourages me to quickly skim through that to understand the correlation)
It's just a fun anime to watch (and no, I'm not binge watching it, casually enjoying the most out of 1-2 episodes in one sitting)

I'm at episode 3 of A place further than the universe (I know, I often come late to some anime; also watching schedule is the same as Champloo) and it's amazing so far (especially the chase scene of ep 2). Ep 1 was okay but after Ep 2 I went down that introspection rabbit-hole (it was night time and stars were out too, so it turned out to a well ~2 hours session). It's really relatable of wanting to go out and do something fun with your life, explore and all given I'm going to uni this fall too and really haven't done anything/that many exceptional yet really. I also know that I still have 50+ years to live but still, going by the review of the past 18 years, I relate to the protag too.

I've currently held Monster at ~ep 27 (something happened and it broke the watching schedule, engaging in new season anime didn't help either. I'm considering watching it from start after I finish Slime and Champloo)

I'm also looking forward to watch Neverland, Love is war and Dororo once they finish (I can't watch everything right now at the same time) and maybe Two heroes, Flavour of youth after that

You know what OP, this thread is a really good way to sorta re-review your opinions/experiences of the anime you watched this week.

seems really fun, 50 min per episode is welcomed if it's really that good. (besides it doesn't matter in binge watching) Thanks for recommending again dude

ACCA 13 seems really intriguing to me, if it does the political mind games correctly and in an involving way (say something like Code Geass), I'll be all down for it. Being animated by Madhouse is a plus too for not worrying about the animation quality

Thank you for the recommendations :)

The plot seems somewhat cliche but if it's really that good (which it seems by the reviews), then I'll definitely check it out (both the anime and manga) given that idea is amazing, just that not that many people have done it well.

    Thank you for the recommendation

I'm glad you liked it :) The only downside is that it's so short currently, waiting between chapters is hard

I'm still fairly new to anime (~2.5 years) and have been just watching either classics/high rated anime or whatever everyone else is watching that season and really want to know what are some pretty good anime/manga that are underrated and overshadowed by huge influx of anime every season?

    Mine picks would be:

    • One Outs : It's basically a Sports anime about Baseball with heavily focusing on mind games (similar to Death Note/Code Geass/etc) It is 8.4 on MAL but It's really underrated in terms of it's audience

    • Black Clover : It's really not that bad as people say it is. Yes the adaptation is bad but the story is really good, yeah it's basically generic shonen but it does the generic shonen things much better than other generic shonens. I'd still suggest the manga over the anime (with coming back to see the climax of arcs/seeing your favourite scenes being adapted)

    For Manga:

    • Gokushufudou (The Way of the House Husband) : It's basically a manga about an ex-most wanted gangster now living as a house husband. It's one of the most funniest mangas I've read.

    • Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals : It's a spinoff of My Hero Aca which is pretty cool but not really popular. The story could be boiled down to what would've happened if Midoriya wasn't able to pass the UA exams. Oh yeah and it's all canon (the main author verified this).

    That's basically it for what I've read/watched.

Still completed given how much highly regarded it was in the community and now it's one of my most favourite animes

Finally, a Fate watcher. I have a Question... how exactly should I start watching the Fate series? What's the order?
