What have you been watching/reading this week? (Anime/Manga)
What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.
If you want to, feel free to find the thing you're talking about and link to its pages on Anilist, MAL, or any other database you use!
So I finally got into the Grimgar light novels. Really loving them. They make a great binge, and only take 4 hours or so to get through each. Currently waiting on volume 5 to come in, so that's been kind of a slow wait. But it ends tomorrow! Seriously, if you love dark fantasy, I cannot recommend Grimgar strongly enough.
Edit: Started Arifureta's light novels. Over the past few months, I've basically given up manga and shifted to light novels as my primary source of entertainment. To those who are put off by "walls of text", that's what I thought too. Just try one and you'll be hooked.
Not a manga but a webcomic, also not this week since its taking a break but I have been following it for over a year now.

The drawings weren't great at the start but are amazing In current chapters.
The reason I love it is becuase of the world that seems to exist around the story.
Tower of God is one of my favourite webtoons (yes, it seems a bit cliche but it's got a really diverse cast and plot)
Maybe you'd like something like Hardcore Levelling Warrior too (it's sort of the same genre)
Oh and also, Fuck Rachel
I’m reading Oyasumi Punpun for the first time. I’ve been putting it off for awhile because I haven’t been in the mood for something dark, but I’m absolutely blown away. It definitely deserves all the praise it gets. I’ve read other works by Inio Asano like Solanin, Girl on the Shore, and more recently Dead Dead Demon’s Dededededestruction, and I really just love the constant underlying melancholy that’s present throughout all of them. Punpun takes that melancholy and amplifies it to the point where some parts are downright painful to read, but the art is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and I think it’s such an intelligent series. I’m currently on chapter 60 and hope to finish it pretty soon, though sometimes I feel like I need to stop and read or watch something a bit lighter ;)
I definitely agree with all the hype - Punpun is a fantastic series so far and I definitely recommend it to people who are fans of darker, existential stories.
I've re-read Drifting Dragons for the nth time :D, it's the drawings that gets me
Just read the last chapter of Reigen. Got by surprise it was the last one, enjoyed all the series so far gonna miss it.
Reading Battle Angel Alita. Having a blast. Good action, good sci-fi, good sense of humor, likable characters.
I started on Suite Precure for my magical girl fix due to its musical theme. While the theme itself is rudimentary (as expected for a kids' show), the main characters are fun to watch and the villains are entertainingly hammy.
