    I used to use it to keep up with posts of some high quality novelty accounts, like poem_for_your_sprog. It's great for that since it's a one way 'friendship' and so the focus is still on the content. It should've been called 'subscribe', really. In the redesign they've made it quite similar to twitter. People can post on their own profiles and users can follow their feed and the admins are pushing it a lot more.

    On tildes, a subscribe feature like the old one on reddit might not necessarily be a bad idea.

    Does NewPipe allow you to login to your Google account to access your subscriptions? I currently use YouTube Vanced but would switch to NewPipe if this isn't a limitation.
