xp1oit That makes sense, thank you. Either the API not completely shutting down and going in stages, or RIF pulling old data. I did see the post that some developers like Narwhal negotiated API terms with reddit so it sounds like 3rd party apps may still be around?
Still tempted to boycott reddit and hope an exodus to another site transpires, but it would be nice if a happy median between 3rd party apps and reddit were to happen.

For now I'm refusing to visit reddit or old.reddit and I keep tapping my RIF icon out of instinct. It's a legit habit and possibly an addiction. I'm hoping I'll find new shit to do, but man it was the greatest app ever.
I was so full of stupid facts and information that my friends think I'm smart, but I just memorized the same reddit reposts after 10+ years. I saw everyone's stupid meme or viral video before they saw it on fb. I felt way ahead of trends and opinions because reddit was sort of that underground place where I caught info before anyone else did, aside from some news stories where reddit wasn't the best source.
I'm gonna totally miss the wealth of information and trends, but I can't support these dipshits anymore. If we all plant our feet in the ground and get off reddit there will be a new place to pop up and replace it soon. Hopefully it's here. Miss you guys.
I was using Pocketcast but switched to Spotify. Sounds lame but it has Last Podcast on the Left, Stuff You Should Know, and Freakonomics so why the hell leave the app I'm currently paying for.
