I hate that YU-NO is rated so low, but it really does deserve the rating given the point of the website. To be fair, the main character does grow up to be less of a total asshole, but the ending has far more problematic content.
Honestly I am a little disappointed that they didn't take out some of the sexuality from the story (especially given they probably won't be able to show any of the "goods"). Takuya's obsession with sex is easily the worst part of the original game, and an adaptation is precisely where such an improvement would best be made. Hopefully it will do a better job conveying his growth as a person than the VN did.
I have high hopes for Sarazanmai, though. It's from the same creator behind Revolutionary Girl Utena and Penguindrum, and those are must-sees in my book.
Sarazanmai is kinda rubbing me the wrong way with its approach to sexuality, if I'm honest, but the fact that it's Ikuhara definitely means I'm going to be charitable and place some trust in it...
