What have you been watching/reading this week? (Anime/Manga)

What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

If you want to, feel free to find the thing you're talking about and link to its pages on Anilist, MAL, or any other database you use!

Dororo has been amazing so far, you can definitely tell which episodes they spent their budget on though, especially recently. It feels like a 90's anime, which to me is a good thing. I think this is the first time I've liked the "silent edgy protagonist" trope because Hyakkimaru actually has a very good reason to be that way.

Carol and Tuesday - Wow! I watched this solely because it was created by the creator of Cowboy Bebop. I don't really get much enjoyment from music and have no interest in the creation of music, yet I really like this show. Maybe I'm a sucker for slice of life type shows starring nice people. I kind of cringe during their jamming sessions(?) the parts where they sit in the apartment and just play stuff. Then when they play the final version of the song I'm like "Hey, this is okay!" I'm really glad they don't dance. If they started dancing I don't know if I could watch it. I love that this takes place in the Cowboy Bebop universe too (they use Woolongs and are on Mars).

Also liking Shield Hero, I'm not really into isekai but I like the protagonists. I'm still on edge about Filo, I find her annoying and kind of cloying but not enough to make me dislike her character.

I've been re-watching Samurai Champloo... almost through the whole thing! The baseball episode still kinda pisses me off even after all these years :/

Baki part 2 made its way to Netflix in the West recently, so started on that. The insane violence continues to be entertaining, and pacing remains good.
