Edit: Did some digging, and Unacast does not disclose their app partners. I submitted a CCPA request just now via privacy@unacast.com.

However, I reallllllly wish these data would include the number of tests administered. The US, for example, might have a staggering infection rate, but we don't know it since very few can get the tests, even if they have moderate to severe symptoms.

Not having a great time with this. The shelter in place announcement in the bay area came out on my birthday, and I also had a not-so-great day at work, with a manager's manager being a dick on a presentation I was leading... But I realize I'm super privileged to be able to work from home and not have to worry about losing my livelihood (for now... my business unit is kinda fucked if you ask me, but that's just me for now). I started a job search, but that's probably not going to be fruitful for now.

On top of that, my whole family is in another part of the US, and they're suggested I drive home and shelter there. That seems irresponsible to me, since being in one of the epicenters of the disease in the US means I could be a carrier and not know it.

At the same time though, I have an underlying condition that means if I get it, I could much more easily die than your standard youngish person, so it sort of makes sense to go home where my family has a bit more ability to influence medical decisions than a random caretaker where I live now...

Anyway, it's been a shitty birthday, so hopefully I can look back in a year from now and see this as a unique memory of sorts. Stay safe, Tilderinos

I had family at the Thunder game sitting in the stands when they told everyone to get out. Apparently they brought out the halftime show entertainers early to keep people occupied while they decided what to do with the game... Luckily Gobert wasn't in the arena at all, and OKC thus far has no confirmed cases, but that's sure to change as testing (hopefully) picks up.

I've decided to try audio books for the first time, and just started with Saudi America by Bethany McLean. It came out in late 2018, so it's pretty relevant still. A friend who works in the oil industry told me about it when we were chatting about the price war a couple days ago, and luckily the local library has it available as an audio book! I know several of the main characters they've been talking about decently well through friends and family, so it's especially interesting.

I've been contemplating asking my SO to join the same gym as me, but they have the lovely benefit of a free gym at work, so why pay more? I've noticed maybe half of the people at the gym I go to are couples working out together, which seems to indicate it's not a bad idea!

Might I ask what you do when you swim for exercise? My gym has a pool (I need to get a swimming cap...), but I have no idea how I'd use it.

Welp, my vote was basically wasted, BUT, I still appreciate what she brought to the table and see good things for her ahead. She knows her policy, how to make change happen both inside and outside of government, took down a rich megalomaniac in a debate (I so wish I could see her debate Trump 1v1), and is a humble leader. I'm hoping we can flip the Senate (c'mon, Bullock, run in Montana!) and have Warren step up her work with even more influence now given her now-national reputation.

I followed the instructions here: https://pwnagotchi.ai/installation/#1-bettercap

After wget and unzipping the contents, I then tried to install the caplets and webui, only for the command to fail and tell me there was nothing installed in /usr/bin/. I spent probably 2 hours trying to fix this to no avail.

How far of a drive is it to your gym? One thing I found was super helpful was being able to bike to and from my gym, and you can do so even when it's wet because you don't have to be squeaky clean when you go to the gym to sweat! Maybe it's too far though, but thought I'd suggest it.

I'm also trying to figure out what a swimming routine would look like since the gym I just joined has a pool, but I have been lifting for some time now. When I first started, I just focused on the compound lifts (those that work multiple muscles at a time) like squats, deadlifts, rows, overhead presses, and bench presses with the dumbbells my then apartment had on hand. When I finally got a gym with barbells, I started a program called Stronglifts 5x5, which is pretty simple in that you start at a low weight, but if you do 5 sets of 5 reps of an exercise, the next time you lift you add on 5 pounds (or 10 for deadlifts). You don't do all of those lifts everyday, just 3 of the 5 (squats both days), and it takes ~45 minutes, so you don't have to be in the gym for a looooooong time to do it. Once you get up to heavy weight, it takes longer as you need to rest more, but I thought it was a great way to start with lifting. Just be sure you get your form right (watch some videos if you can)! Just a thought, no pressure either way.

Just ride over, lock up the bike, and you can work out straight away. No can do with bike shoes you have to change out of and back into when you're done.

I think soctar means to look for pedals with baskets/cages so you don't have to have clip in bike shoes. My bike has cages (something like this https://www.amazon.com/State-Bicycle-Pedals-Toe-Cages/dp/B00GDDG3G8 but mine aren't as narrow, which means I can wear pretty much any shoe and get away with it).
