Dimension W has been something on my radar, and I am so very pleased with what I have been watching. Sinilar to Darker Than Black, Ergo Proxy, and a bit of Steins;Gate.

Ergo Proxy is one of my all time favorites, and Steins;Gate has been on my watch-list forever. Thanks for reminding me to watch it. Never heard of the others though... what are your thoughts on them?

Steins;Gate sits up there with Ergo Proxy, Death Note, and Code Geass as one of my favorites. It takes a few episodes to really sift into your conscience, but very well produced and made and makes you want more.

Darker Than Black is dark, and great. I highly suggest watching it especially if you liked Ergo. It's different, but very good.

I've kinda been slacking on my weeklies with the whole major catastrophe going on, and nothing really keeping my attention right now. Was following Defense Newb, Ghost Boy, Animation Crew, Robot Dad, Magical Girls, and Yokai Investigators, and none of them are really doing it for me. Magia Record in particular is a punch to the gut, since it's has a pedigree and it's well animated, but it's just kind of puttering around the world doing nothing in comparison to the OG, which was three twists in and ends up as the best paced show I've ever watched bar none.

Almost at the end of my self made Winter 2010 Seasonal Throwback, one more week to go. And unfortunately I'm not really enjoying any of the 3 remaining shows I'm still watching. They all have various issues, rushed manga adaptation, poor generic story, and a world that just makes no sense. Not sure how I'm gonna do next week for the final episodes, might to a short write up and link to the anilist review I'll write about each one. At some point next week also got to watch some movies.

Dance in the Vampire Bund Ep 11 :
Where is this story going the for the last 2 episodes, because I have no clue at all currently? It really feels like they suddenly realized they had to finish the story off in a way to convince people to read the manga but didn’t have any time to develop that story.

The assassins plot is just frustrating, feel like their abilities haven’t been explained and make no sense. Thus far everything has been rather grounded kinda, simple vampires and werewolves and the such. But now we have a liquid shapeshifter, that just appeared suddenly without any explanation. Also, what happened to the other assassins, why did it end with just the one really trying hard to kill him and the rest just kinda showing up occasionally. But hey at least we got some explanation for that side character that kept showing up for no reason. Though I feel she won’t get any more than those 5 strange minutes of trying to get him to give up for whatever reason.

As a whole, while I have liked the show thus far. I’m pretty certain that these last 3 episodes are going to taint my entire opinion of the show pretty hard. A show can be amazing for many episodes, but if they don’t stick the landing it ruins the rest of it hard.

Sound of the Sky Ep 11:
Second to last episode, and I’m just disappointed. We are getting the final confrontation essentially and what seems to be an antagonist on their side showing up. And a fight between two armies in No-Mans-Land. But, why are they fighting! I still don’t understand who these two countries are, what they are fighting over, or who is technically winning? I shouldn’t be 11 episodes into a 12-episode war story and not understand the war. This show is just set up poorly from the start for this finish, they have had 10 episodes of normal cute girls show stuff and suddenly 2 episodes of serious war story.

Once again, I will mention how messed up the technological progression in this world is and how little sense it makes. You have walking tanks, but your soldiers are underequipped with old fashion poor uniforms and essentially hunting rifles. You have walking tanks, but pass commands around using trumpets. But at the same time, what technology you have must be powered by futuristic technology. Because I haven’t seen mass fuel storage to run the tanks and cars they do have, no fuel tanks or fuel trucks.

By this point I don’t care how the show ends, and I don’t care what happens to the characters. I have just lost all interest because of the various issues I have with the story progression, technology, and character building that nothing matters at this point.

    Omamori Himari Ep 11:
Man, this episode just feels rushed to hell. I still don’t understand why these people are fighting or what their goals are. I don’t know their names. And I really don’t like the idea that suddenly they introduce an essentially unbeatable enemy until the initiable MC power up in the final episode. It just feels like such a cheap way to create a hard-final boss without any work necessary to set anything up.

Also, who is this blond girl they are fighting anyway? And why does she seem to have very little freewill of herself outside of eating Ayakashi. I wish they had developed all this much better.
