I'm trying to stretch out BNA as much as possible. But even then, it's really hard to wait. I'm almost finished already!

I have to say that the episode where the main character plays baseball with the bears is possibly the best episode of TV ever. I love that it just completely abandons all semblance of seriousness and just turns all cartoon. It's full of the exaggerated animation techniques that made me fall in love with the art.

I got a trial for Funimation so I could watch two different shows. Next week I will begin watching Yurikuma Arashi, a show that I would have zero interest if it did not have Ikuhara working on it.

After that, I want to watch the Yu-No anime adaptation; I love the original visual novel, but I'm really curious how they intend to tackle the project. I watched the first episode and it didn't seem too incredibly terrible, but I must say that since they are using the new remake's character designs, it's especially strange to see a teacher wearing lingerie to class. It's also much more obvious that the main character is an asshole. He was an asshole in the original, of course, but as the player's avatar it was much easier to forgive him.

I've discovered and finished the webtoons I'm the Grim Reaper (really cool artstyle), Not Even Bones (pretty grim, I like it), and Always Human (cute and pretty positive).

I didn't watch anything though, as I usually prefer to read.

Watched: 1st Episode of Oregairu Season 3

(sorry if this "review" seems a bit negative at the beginning)

Watching this felt stifling for some reason
I hadn't seen the previous seasons in a long, long time (I watched when they aired, I think). I didn't love them to be honest, they were kind of boring. Later on, I thought that it might have been because I was too young at the time to understand the stylistic nuances. Nope, it's still mildly boring 5+ years later, now in the new season. On top of that, I forgot a lot of stuff :9

I still thoroughly appreciate it for what it is
Art and characters (the visual design as a whole, really) looks spectacular
    Dialogue is witty and sophisticated

MC's voice is still a little hard to listen to

    It's almost like drinking tea

It's nice; its refinement can be well-appreciated and savoured by the right people. While, on the contrary, could also taste stale and bland to others. Or a conflicting mix of both, in my case
Of course, it's only one episode in. There is plenty of room for developments in the story and, in turn, my opinions.
Nevertheless, I'm going to watch it thoroughly till the finale, because if I don't, I will be haunted by the spirits for not tying up the loose ends.

thanks for reading, especially through my unconventional formatting

And I am back again of course, though this first week is going to be a bit light. To be honest I completely forgot that the summer season was starting and I should have watched some of my many shows from 2010. So yeah expect more next week, and considering what to do because I have many 24 episode shows. Wondering if I should watch 2 episodes at a time, or stretch them over 2 seasons like they released. Now for this seasons shows, not much to look forward to and not very excited for it. Also got done a Spring Movie, so throwing that in also.

    2020 Summer Week 1

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Ep 1
This show I’ve been really looking forward too because I just love the manga. The characters are real fun and enjoyable and have good chemistry. The show looks rather good, don’t think it will win any awards but doesn’t do anything wrong for me. Overall, I just look forward to watching a show when I already enjoy the manga version.

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax! Ep 1
After many years we are finally getting the conclusion to the story, but by this point I don’t actually know if I care and want the ending. In fact, I have forgotten why I ever gave the first two seasons such good ratings or what amazing things I saw in the show. I figure the rating is coming partly from the show just being one of the very first shows I really watched, and one of the first decent romance shows I watched in the beginning.

But now, many years later the show just doesn’t seem as impressive or interesting to me. I’m still interested in seeing the end, but many of the core parts of the show don’t do anything for me anymore. I got tired of love triangles years ago and avoid watching shows with them most of the time now. And harems are my least favorite thing essentially ever. So, after the first episode I don’t know what I’m going to think about this show. I might love it, I might hate it, or most likely I will be rather indifferent to it in the end.

    2010 Summer Week 1

    Kaichuu! Ep 1
So randomly decided to watch this short ONA, not expecting much at all. But given there is only 4 episodes and they are only 4 min long what can I loose. Surprising amount of attempted character building, super rushed of course. But not the worst super short ONA I’ve ever seen.

    Kaichuu! Ep 2
Wow, some story somehow shoved into this short show. Wasn’t expecting story and character develop to both occur in the second episode, but they did it. I wonder what the manga is like, looks like it goes on for some time. So, I do wonder how much character and story development actually happens and how much is just filler and joke progress.

    Kaichuu! Ep 3
What an odd episode, wasted a good 30 seconds on a strange anime joke. It almost feels like this was animated as a teaser for an upcoming anime, and then that show never developed.

    Kaichuu! Ep 4
I wonder if the jokes in the manga are as generic as the anime. It doesn’t feel like it has a single original idea at all. All the jokes and all the scenes and all the characters are just copying from other shows and manga. Also, as the final episode to this ONA run, I don’t feel like it made me want to see a full anime at all. And maybe a vague passing interesting in reading the first volume of the manga to see what it is like.
