I'm very excited for this final season of Attack on Titan. As someone invested in the manga series (which still has not finished - but is in its last couple of chapters), the anime adaption so far has been phenomenal, from its animation and soundtrack to the excellent carryover and detail of the manga's foreshadowing, symbolism, and subtexts.

Trying to do more research, but did we ever get a resolution to the facist-subtext/text of AoT and the.. problematic to say the least, ideology of its original creator?
Both these sources contain massive spoilers for both the anime and manga.
Edit #2: While I did read both articles, I found this one did a good job of explaining how the show can/is being interpreted in many different ways by both the left and far-right. I find some of the phrasing/framing to be... not great at some points based on what I have seen/read of the manga, but overall I found it to be the best source out of the three. Are these just subbed versions or is there a dubbed version already?
(I accept the flogging but I just don't see the point in watching the Japanese version when I don't understand a word of the language spoken and the intro song is in fake-German.)
The reason is usually that the English voice acting is noticeably worse. I've found it a far better experience to get the right sense - emotion, tone, subtitles - from the audio while reading the translation than it is to understand the audio and have it flat or cringeworthy. I still don't like my focus being taken away from the scene to read the words, and it can spoil the timing on joke punchlines, but for me it's worth the trade.
There's a few exceptions, like Cowboy Bebop, where the English dubs are undoubtedly better.
Funimation is simuldubbing the final season of Attack on Titan, and episodes will start arriving at a later date. (Not very simul if you ask me, but I digress.)
Thanks. I think I'll wait. It's more of a matter of wanting some closure than a burning desire to watch it. The plot got weird.
