    A couple of personal favourites:

The great sn’ðar¹ Khei’an surveyed her riptǫs² from all nine ceutríei³, and sighed—her kuro´ön⁴; were faring poorly this yþo⁵.

    And

Boom! The orphanage blew up as the blood of all the orphans flew across the street and into the river as if Jesus turned the water into wine.

Some good entries this year! Even some of the found and generated entries got me chuckling.

Since 1982 the Bulwer Lytton Fiction Contest has challenged participants to write an atrocious opening sentence to the worst novel never written. Our whimsical literary competition honors Sir Edward George Bulwer-Lytton, whose 1830 novel Paul Clifford begins with “It was a dark and stormy night.”

I had never heard of this Lyttle Lytton contest before though, which is based on the above, but limited to 200 characters. Fun stuff! :)
