This is a great point, and I'm glad the article (and this linked one) made me aware of this. Kids need role models, and representation is important - yet I still hear people claiming that feminism is no longer needed because women are now equal. At least Matilda is there for us.
At risk of opening an argument I don't want to continue beyond a throwaway comment. I would say that those that think that women have achieved equality are probably those that were/are against their strive for equality and the idea of feminism to begin with.
