I know the list is about the most loved books in the country, and not necessarily the best written, but I still found some of the ones that made it on the list surprising. I mean, Memoirs of a Geisha? I didn't find it to be particularly good and I'm surprised that it is so well loved.
It reads like a list of books assigned in school to me, with a smattering of popular novels and series thrown in. I remember hearing a few years back that there is a solid chunk of the population...

I remember hearing a few years back that there is a solid chunk of the population who don't and haven't read any books since the ones they were required to read for school. This list seems very much reflective of that.
Yeah, I can kind of see that. There's definitely school books like the Great Gatsby on one spectrum and then the trashier books like Fifty Shades of Grey on the other side. I guess it makes sense...

I'm definitely a bit surprised on some of what made it to the list, such as The Help and Ready Player One, but also really glad that a lot of my own favourites are there, such as The Little...
