      Stross is an internationally acclaimed sci-fi/fantasy/horror writer, and multiple winner of Hugo and Locus awards (this story itself won a Locus award in 2007). So, no real surprise at the quality...

      Stross is one of my favorite contemporary authors. If you'd like to check out his other work, I'd definitely recommend Singularity Sky, Glasshouse, and Accelerando. Haven't gotten into his long...

      Stross is one of my favorite contemporary authors. If you'd like to check out his other work, I'd definitely recommend Singularity Sky, Glasshouse, and Accelerando. Haven't gotten into his long running series myself, but it's on the to do list.

          That's a fair assessment. It's my least favorite of the three novels I mentioned, though I did still enjoy it. Certainly beats its tepid rehash, Rapture of the Nerds...
