In any case, it's a bold move getting political as a quasi-celebrity on reddit, especially about that particular topic these days. I admire his courage and hope it works out for him... but I can definitely see this being considered exceedingly "controversial" by some on reddit. Hopefully he doesn't get too much flack for it.
His wife's last name was Smith, and rather than have her change her name they both did. At least I think so. They both go by Weinersmith on their books.
