Man, from the golden age of gadgets that were actually interesting and not just monotaskers or clones of eachother. Those monochrome hanafuda card designs actually look really nice, especially when softened by the shadows on the device itself. Casio was making these pocket organizers for far longer than anyone else, if my memory is any good. I would imagine the only part of the company still making gadgets like that would be whatever division who is making their calculators, which I find pretty fantastic.

I was really confused for a while when I saw that the menu button on the screen had a fork and knife on it. I had thought that they had put a recipe organizer on it or something.

My best guess on how to pronounce "caleid", based on the katakana spelling, is "call-aid", in case anyone else is wondering. I just looked it up in a dictionary and the closest thing I can figure it is supposed to mean is "kaleidoscope" ( カレイドスコープ ).

The literal forth and knife icon on menu really made me chuckle. Peak icon design. Generally, I love the look of the app icons on this thing.
