Like many people, I use a streaming devices like the Chromecast to play media on my TV. I wanted to be able to control playback from any of my devices, including my computer that runs Linux. For Linux, only CLI options really existed to control a Chromecast.

This is where chromecast_mpris comes in. It hooks up to D-Bus so that you can control Chromecast playback right from the controls that are integrated in Plasma and GNOME, or anything that integrates with MPRIS. You can use the CLI, too!

I figured some people here use Linux, and thought you guys would appreciate this project.
