what creative projects are you working on?
feels like we should probably have one of these in here since it doesn't appear we've had one of these as a community in ~creative in awhile--if ever.
i've spent the better portion of my day today working on a census form for the kryfona kingdom, which is one of the many countries in my fairly large worldbuilding effort. the first page actually came out really well, i think, so that was time well spent. i've considered making a post about some of its more intricate detail since i think some people on here might enjoy that, but for now i've opted to just make this general thread since i dunno how well it'd go as a discussion topic. maybe if y'all think it's worthy of one? idk.
anyways, what creative things have you been working on recently?
Readying a tabletop letterpress for printing.
That sounds really interesting. Got pics?
for the most part, yes. capitalism is the main economic system in this world--but especially in the kingdom--because many of its alternatives are for the most part still budding or have to some extent fallen out of favor. there are quite a number of groups that seek to change that though, and i'll probably eventually make a post about all that sometime in the future since it's one of the neater things i've developed.
I've been working on a minimal tabletop RPG system based on Fate Core, called Fleet. I recently finished a draft of the character sheet.
It's half rules, half stats, easy to fold down the middle.
I work as a creative, so I don't know if this counts.
I'm closing in on finishing production on a documentary about criminal pathology. Two more interviews to do and then some more b-roll (including some drone footage, I'm excited to have my first project with some drone shots). I'm working as the cinematographer during production with a producer/director. For post, I'm taking on editing while she moves to writing. It's been a slow process because it's mostly grant funded, so money will dry up for months at a time.
That's probably my favorite thing I'm working on at the moment.
Getting my next jazz radio show together. Hopefully I'll have something posted to ~music by the end of the weekend.
This is a bit more of a ~tech thing (but I code for fun and there's art involved) where I am making a self-hostable, open source, privacy focused, alternative to google analytics. that was a bit of a buzzword dump, but the whole thing is gonna be on github, only use 1 cookie (and can be turned off), and have a bunch of traffic visualizations thanks to D3 (https://d3js.org/)
I'm doing some worldbuilding when I'm not busy and writing everything out as a sort of adventure guide/memoirs by one of the most famous adventurers in the world. I'm also working on a map for the world, but currently only have the outlines ready, so it's a fairly boring black & white map only so far.
