Emotionally I really dislike these companies and what they're doing. It's frustrating to hear them talk about how much they love regulation and working with the city when they completely ignore both. A company working in good faith would have partnered with the city first and worked out a very basic regulatory framework before throwing themselves on the streets. My question is should these companies be punished for their irresponsible behavior and disregard for the law?

I swear, technology company heads these day seem like psychopaths who are trying to extort money out of public spaces.

I see these all the time in DC and they are insanely fast for scooters, often going faster than bikes. I think most people are not too pleased about them here. They take up a good amount of sidewalk space and the riders are even worse about obeying traffic laws than bikers.

These just showed up in my city, and I think they make the place look trashy. People just leave them in the middle of the sidewalk and zoom around without helmets. Maybe I'm a curmudgeon, but without specific parking locations it's really just adding to the clutter of downtown. And I don't even know how they plan to make a profit
