    EDIT: web archive link

I came across this new project from The Weather Channel on Twitter today. (They posted the text of the about page in a thread of tweets.) I haven't had a chance to read it all yet, but I thought I'd post it here.

It was particularly interesting to see that it was coming from The Weather Channel because only a few minutes earlier I saw this tweet: "Congrats to the Weather Channel, the most trusted name in news." In a poll on Americans' views on the media[PDF link] 91% of the people surveyed generally considered The Weather Channel to be trustworthy. Do you folks think that the source will make a difference in how people react to these stories? What about the angle of the stories, which attempts to humanize the impact of climate change by focusing on migration?

Definitely never expected anything like this from the Weather Channel. I will be reading all of these stories. Thanks for the link!

Rational people care about the source. Irrational people will trust anything from any source that confirms their views, and condemn anything from any source that challenges them, even if that...

Irrational people will trust anything from any source that confirms their views, and condemn anything from any source that challenges them, even if that means praising and condemning the same source each day for a year.

Attempting to load this article from the UK I get redirected to: https://weather.com/en-GB/ Where I find an update on the fact it will rain this weekend... I'm assuming that's not the intent?!?

Well... damn. I'd have thought this would have be accessible globally, especially considering one of the stories so far is about Jordan (so not just the US). Here's the web archive link.
