    I assume the liver powder is sufficiently processed to not really be "raw" but I despair of the current state of knowledge about food science.

(kinda have to agree, it's what my degrees are in). the US food production and distribution system has put everyone so far removed from where their food comes from (both geogrpahically and conceptually). science education and communication deficits further undermine people's ability to understand nuance, and the shortening attention spans means people won't put the effort in to fill the knowledge gaps. here we are.

        I don't know if it is as bleak as you write, or maybe as bleak for the reasons you think. I learned as a child in school that unpasteurized milk is dangerous. I've never felt any desire to drink...

        I'm not a science or a medicine wonk. I just like to read popular books on nutrition every now and then. I have never seen a reason for drinking a powdered meat shake!
