Any food vlog recommendations?
Hello, Tildes food community! My husband and I are avid travelers, and particularly enjoy trying new and delicious foods in the places we visit - everything from local street food and mom'n'pop restaurants to high-end Michelin starred cuisine. It can be hard to narrow down the "best of" in a region, and thus-far have had some amazing meals, and some misses, while doing our own research. I'm hoping for recommendations of food travel vlogs of folks who are: not annoying, know good food and have reliable palates, and are willing to give honest feedback about the best places to eat. Any help and suggestions are much appreciated!
Probably not what you're looking for But
Jared of Weird Explorer wants to eat every fruit in the world so there's a lot of very strange exotic fruit species on his channel. Since you guys travel a lot maybe it's worth checking out fruit only available to that region.
I don't know if they're necessarily what you're looking for, since they're not really reviewers per se, but here are two food travel vloggers I have regularly watched for many years.
The Food Ranger isn't quite as active as he used to be 5+ years ago, but still puts out videos every month or so. He mostly travels around the Middle East and Asia, and mostly focuses on street food.
Strictly Dumpling is still super active and still releasing a few new videos a month. He travels all over the world trying everything from street food, to convenient store food, to 5 star hotel buffets, to Michelin star restaurants.
Thank you! Yes, this is exactly what I'm looking for!
I've seen Strictly Dumpling before; one of my good friends is an avid follower of his. I've mostly only seen his buffet videos, though, so I feel kind of dumb for not exploring more of this other offerings. Cheers!
YVW! And, LOL, yeah, Strictly Dumpling does a lot more than just going to buffets. My personal favorite are his Asian convenient store food taste tests. It's crazy how awesome their instant/premade meals and snack food looks, especially compared to North American convenient store food. :P
