Anyone else find this character they are cultivating with Chris as being this super taster kind of tedious when he consistently falls in middle of the pack in blind tasting contests with his peers. I've been enjoying his home videos where it's just him being himself.
He's really got an enjoyable personality to watch, and his dad energy is powerful. I enjoy these recreate-from-taste videos but I think they'd be just as good with others (Priya, Andy, Christina...

I'll be honest, it wasn't until I was a few episodes into watching BA that I realised Chris is not gay (it's especially obvious now that everything was recorded from home), he's just got a more effeminate and considered tone in his inflection, which I think is part of the reason he comes across as sharp and well refined, because his ability to describe what his senses tell him is extremely good.

Why would any of these abilities make him gay though?
They wouldn't. I was commenting on his voice—as a gay person myself apparently my gaydar isn't quite as good as I thought it was.
I actually thought the same for a while! He's also fit as a fiddle and dresses extremely well, which plays into the stereotype a bit.
