When I look back on my conduct under the name Etherwind I feel intense shame. Not only intense shame, to be honest: I did have my moments, few as they were. Yet almost all of that period feels dark and distant now, painful, and on the few occasions I’ve read my posts, all I can think is “Couldn’t you just chill? Did you really have to be like that, all the time?”

I couldn’t. I know. But Christ, what an asshole.

I've felt the same, looking back at various online forums that I participated in when I was younger too. I never got banned anywhere, AFAIK, but I wouldn't be surprised if I came close more than a few times.

:) I like that he seems to have grown as a person and had a whole healthy life outside of SA. Stories like this that make me happy about the Internet's positive impact on humanity.
