Technically you can install it with Crostini (the built-in Linux environment), but I’m guessing what’s coming soon is a version optimized for ChromeOS. I’m curious whether it will be an app built for Crostini, or if it’s a PWA with Crostini access for installing games. The latter sounds optimal to me, but it’s likely going to run on Crostini like they did with Android Studio.
I’m hoping this will prompt manufacturers to make beefier Chromebooks. There are some decently-specced Chromeboxes, but as far as I’m aware there aren’t any with a dedicated GPU. I’d be happy for eGPU support as well.
