TBH I kind of wish that if Obsidian were to work on a Bethesda property again, it would be TES. The world of Fallout just feels a bit worn out to me, and The Outer Worlds was already enough of an unofficial sequel to New Vegas that I don't feel an actual sequel is necessary - though if either of the two games would get a sequel, I think The Outer Worlds is the better candidate.

We don't want the next Fallout 4, we want the next Fallout: New Vegas! We want meaningful dialogue choices, rich world-building, and complex storytelling. That's what FNV is about. This has the potential to be amazing.
Though like I mentioned in another comment, I'm gonna be really annoyed if PlayStation gamers like me are excluded.
It wouldn’t really conflict with Fallout 5. The nice thing about New Vegas 2 would be that it would basically be independent of Bethesda, who’s busy with Starfield.

I’m afraid they’ve been holding off on Elder Scrolls 6 because they’re trying to create a cash cow like GTA 5 with the franchise. What the world needs is Co Op Elder Scrolls, though. Not ESO but...

I'll be happy with either, as long as it's available on PlayStation!
About that...
The Outer Worlds is getting a sequel, actually.
Time to start playing New Vegas!
That's unexpected, I'd sooner expect Fallout 5.

I feel like I remember hearing this was in early discussions a few months ago as well.
