I’ll have to watch this more closely later, but at a brief look it seems like they addressed one of the challenges with the first two games of orienting yourself and controlling units in 3 dimensions by introducing these megastructures. It makes the gameplay have more terrain and strategic potential too.
I hope they’ve improved the economy model though. I’ve been trying to play Deserts of Kharak lately and BOY is that campaign a slog. I spend so much time waiting for money to come in so I can build stuff that dies really easily. And it often feels like I’m just going from scripted event to scripted event that keeps commandeering my camera to be like “LOOK OVER HERE!” It doesn’t feel like I’m executing in any kind of strategy just being led by the nose by a pushy tutorial.
