Requesting recommendations for Stellaris tutorials for strategy and intermediate gameplay

Does anyone have recommendations for a good Stellaris tutorial that is in the intermediate realm? I understand the basics and UI, but with so many changes, I feel like I need some encouragement with properly managing an economy, review into fighting mechanics, etc. I searched YouTube before posting and just found several tutorials that talk about the basic components and the UI - which I understand. Looking into more strategy and intermediate-level mechanics.

It can get a little difficult to find good tutorials given how Paradox rebalances everything every year or two. Personally, I find one of the best ways to learn beginner and intermediate strategies is to watch people play through a game, either streamed or on Youtube. Watching streams was how I learned to play most Paradox games (Hoi4, Eu4, and Stellaris), so its personally worked out really well for me. If watching other people play isn't your thing though, I usually watch Montu Plays for military and empire-building strategies.

I am watching a playthrough with PotatoMcWhiskey and that’s kind of what reignited this desire. He speeds through so much stuff though and he isn’t explaining the why behind a lot of his decisions so it’s hard to understand exactly the reasons for his choices. Every choice he makes is a good one though, according to him ;-).

Honestly, it's been a couple years since I watched a Stellaris playthrough, so a lot of the ones I watched probably aren't relevant to the game as it currently exists. Montu does do some playthroughs, but they're usually challenge runs I believe. Perhaps useful for learning aspects of the game that are relevant to the empire he's playing? Lathland I think still does full Stellaris playthroughs, although I believe they're usually modded. Livestreams and unedited VODs may be your best bet as far as not rushing through what they're doing, though I don't have any recommendations off the top of my head. Sorry I wasn't much help, but I hope you can find what you're looking for. If I can dig anything up I'll post here.

PS I didn't know Potato did Stellaris, I only know him for Civ 6 content.

Here is a relatively recent playthrough from another YouTuber, Quill18. He's usually pretty good about explaining mechanics and why he's doing what he's doing. He also tends to do new playthroughs of games when they get updates and he's especially fond of Paradox games.

Aw man, that's nostalgic, Quill18's 2016 Stellaris playthrough is what got me into the game. Good to know he's started a new one, I might check it out!
