In Exodus, humanity has fled a dying Earth, finding a new home in a hostile galaxy – here, we are the underdogs fighting for survival. As The Traveler, you are humanity’s last hope. Your job is to steal alien weapons and technology from the most powerful beings in the universe, the Celestials – humanity’s greatest enemy. But there’s a catch — Time Dilation. As Travelers on interstellar missions, days for you are decades back home. The sacrifices you make to protect your loved ones create unpredictable consequences that change your world — reshaping the future. Returning home, you confront the consequences of your choices. In Exodus, the outcome of those choices manifests at a massive level, compounding over generations.

Humanity escaped, not to another star system, but a completely different galaxy? That’s going to stretch my suspension of disbelief quite a bit. Curious to hear the in-universe explanation for that.

The time dilation mechanic sounds interesting, and hard to pull off in a video game. I’m eager to see how that turns out. This looks like a title to keep an eye on.

Something I've always wanted to see is an arena shooter built on this. It would be fun to play a build of Quake 3 where player movement and projectiles are subject to relativistic effects.

Though in Exodus it appears Time Dilation is being used more as a plot device than a moment-to-moment gameplay mechanic, with the twist that said plot is a branching narrative.

I don't think that's what they're saying. I think it just means that humanity discovers the galaxy is a hostile place once they set out to find a new home.

Looks pretty good! The best part of mass effect was the world building in ME1, so here's hoping that the team approached Exodus with the same level of detail.
