The Last Caretaker is a thoughtful take on the survival-crafting genre, where every decision you make and every action has a consequence. It offers a deep world exploration experience where step-by-step, you uncover the truth behind the reawakening of the last caretaker.
Nice, there's a Demo available too! Downloading it now. :) The game also reminds me of another awesome game demo I played recently and am looking forward to the full release of: THE LIFT:...

The demo of THE LIFT was great. I had a lot of fun with it, and it's a much more mechanically complex, and lore rich game than the title would suggest. It's also quite aesthetically beautiful, amusing, quirky, and imaginative as well. I don't want to spoil it much more than that, but I highly recommend checking it out. I'm personally really really looking forward to its release so I can play the whole game.
The demo of The Last Caretaker, on the other hand, was decent but had a few problems. The first time I launched a new game it froze on the loading screen with 100% CPU and GPU utilization, which was kinda scary since my computer was nearly unresponsive and Alt-F4 wouldn't shut it down, so I had to use CTRL-SHIFT-ESC to bring up task manager to force close it. But the second time I tried to start a new game it worked fine after ~30 seconds of loading.
The game itself is kinda clunky at present, with a somewhat confusing control scheme (esp when it comes to managing power cables), but its was interesting and I can see the potential of it. It was mostly just a lot of exploration around a deep sea platform with lots of hidden rooms to find, collecting various items and resources which you can scrap into more useful materials to craft with. I spent the majority of my time figuring out the basic game mechanics and what the hell I actually needed to in order to make progress, since the game does next to no hand-holding. E.g. I spent a good 3 minutes or so stuck in the first set of rooms because I couldn't find the power cables I needed to progress, since I had accidentally knocked them under a bed frame in a dark corner of a room.
But besides all that fiddling around the demo was actually quite short, ending as soon as I fixed the ship, charged and fueled it up, and sailed away from the starting platform. So I didn't get to experience what I imagine will be the bulk of the game, which appears like it will primarily consist of sailing around to various other landmarks, exploring them, and collecting more lore items and materials to craft/upgrade the ship with; Basically a hard scifi version of Raft. But unlike Raft it's singleplayer only, which is kind of a shame since I could see The Last Caretaker being pretty fun to play with friends too.

These both look great @cfabbro! Would love a review of your thoughts if you have time.
