I never played Banjo back in the day, but I emulated it a few years ago. Unfortunately, I kept hitting its limitations (camera, frame rate) which gave my playthrough enough friction that I ended up dropping it (I think it was the water level that finally did me in).
Being able to play the game with modern quality of life should be fantastic, because I did really like the game in spite of its rough retro edges.
