    This is really interesting, it's just a shame the author locked all the info behind a patreon paywall. I'd be interested to know how they did this, but instead we just get a playthrough.

      The Patreon blog is unblocked if you join at the free level, but the long and short of it is that it's based on the Sonic Z-Treme homebrew engine (https://github.com/Maxime-XL2/SONIC-Z-TREME) and...

      The Patreon blog is unblocked if you join at the free level, but the long and short of it is that it's based on the Sonic Z-Treme homebrew engine (https://github.com/Maxime-XL2/SONIC-Z-TREME) and plays with the level of detail as needed. Public access to the build is in the works, but is limited to paying supporters at this time.

    Super cool project! I'm amazed by how well it runs, seems like its got the core features necessary for any Minecraft clone haha
