I've been playing this game for a bit now and I really enjoy it. For those looking into it, I recommend it with a few warnings and pieces of advice:

    1. You're going to have to do a lot of self-directed exploration, and not just in terms moving. You need to figure out on your own who to talk to and where to go, because outside of dialogue, quest logs, and occasional map pointers, the game gives you nothing. This was incredibly frustrating on my first playthrough attempt.
    2. Try playing at the lowest difficulty first. It'll make the last point a whole lot easier.
    3. If you can take an encounter, you probably should. It'll give you highly necessary experience which will get you through later areas much easier. I'm half convinced the game is designed with the expectation you do this.
    4. Take whatever quests you can. See above. Sometimes you do something that prevents you from taking a quest and that really fucking sucks.
    5. At least on lower difficulties, manage your inventory well. You don't need 60 fish - sell it or store it on the Lady Vengeance. This is what's currently kicking my butt, and I've been meaning to get around to selling stuff for way too long.

It's worth the money if you put in the time! I'll admit I haven't yet tried out the custom levels or DM features yet, but they definitely seem like they would add to the replayability.

EDIT: Trying out the Definitive Edition now. I'm really enjoying the UI improvements, though I'm still struggling to figure out how to multi-select like they said we can do now.

I’m kinda bummed this didn’t get a MacOS port like the first. I understand though if the economics of it didn’t work out the first time.
