jwilcoxson Are there a significant amount of other site that use SQRL? Forgive my ignorance, but this is the first time I’ve seen anyone reference it outside of Steve Gibson on the Twit security podcast. Are there a significant amount of other site that use SQRL? Comment on “The iPhone XR is depressing” — UnboxTherapy. TLDR: It has a low screen resolution only to artificially make it less premium than the iPhones XS and XS Max, to compel people to buy these two, instead. in ~tech

I can't even count how many times in 2010 that I pointed out the difference in screen quality between the iPhone 4 and 3GS, and people just didn't care. Now they will see a phone with a bigger screen (even if it is lower PPI) than the XS for $250 less.

jwilcoxson I was concerned about the resolution, but I have a 7 with the same PPI, and I think the screen on it is great even though its "only 720p". Also, I'm willing to bet they are going to sell more XRs than XS/XS Max combined. Colors and a cheaper price tag make a big difference.

Bravely Default - Excellent game for lovers of old JRPGs. The last 20% or so of it is a little rough though.
Ni No Kuni II - I absolutely adored this game. A bit on the easy side, but the story, graphics and gameplay were great.
Kirby Planet Robobot - Again, too easy, but a joy to play.

You can side load apps to an iPhone if you have a Mac, but the certificate only lasts a few days and then the app won't launch until you reinstall. With Android its just a simple security setting to allow sideloaded apps (which is actually what MacOS does).
The converse side is that it's really easy to convince a novice person to flip that switch and get in trouble.

jwilcoxson I get what you are saying, and overall it's not that hard. The convenience of something brand new, solid state, and available at Best Buy is pretty nice.

Plus, most people aren't going to actually backup and emulate copies of the physical games they own and only those.
It's completely fine to pay money for convenience and legality.

jwilcoxson Thats a bit of an exaggeration.Thats a bit of an exaggeration.
Looks like a lot of licensing issues. THPS alone will probably never appear as it's original release for music licensing issues alone.
