Honestly, this is pretty disappointing to me. For $100, way higher than the two Nintendo classic systems that are out, there is a lot of missing games from here.
Even ignoring the obvious entries like Spyro and Crash given that they have remasters out, excluding Final Fantasy Tactics, FF 8 and 9, Armored Core, Legacy of Kain, Chrono Cross / Trigger, PaRappa the Rapper, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Tomba, Tomb Raider, Bushido Blade, and countless others are missing. I have never even heard of about half of the titles on this list.
The fact that there is no option to purchase additional titles means that I will be skipping out on this despite being a huge Sony fan.
For that much you could get a Vita TV that can emulate the full PSX library. Or like 5 PSPs that can do the same. Or a used Vita. Sony seems to have dropped the ball here, I'm not sure who they...

Sony seems to have dropped the ball here, I'm not sure who they expect to buy this. There is the convenience factor but I'm pretty sure all these games can be purchased legitimately and conveniently on the PSN for less than $100 if you already have a Sony console.
I understand why licensing-beset properties like THPS aren't on there, but the omission of Wipeout seems very strange. Beyond being a quintessential PSX game, that's almost a quintessential '90s...

(I mean, it probably wouldn't have had the Orbital or Chemical Brothers tracks that the PAL/Saturn versions had, but omitting the game entirely just seems weird)

Looks like a lot of licensing issues. THPS alone will probably never appear as it's original release for music licensing issues alone.

The Japanese console gets Parasite Eve, but not the US version? Raw deal.
