She's a great chiptune artist and did the soundtrack for Terry's previous game Super Hexagon, looking forward to listening to it (and actually playing the game soon too).

I like that the runs seem to be quite short. They're probably only about 20 minutes each, since I finished 4 in that time last night. I won 3 of those (2/2 Warrior, 1/2 Thief) so it's not particularly difficult yet, but those characters both have low difficulty rankings, so I'm assuming the other ones will be harder as I unlock those.
I think the question will be how much longevity it ends up having for me, since I'm not sure if there's anything more to it than just doing a new run again, win or lose. Other than unlocking the different characters, there doesn't seem to be anything that changes outside of the run, and at least so far it's looked like the next character unlocks as soon as you do the first run with the previous one.
I was looking at Terry Cavanagh's site today and noticed this blog post from last week that explains a little about how much is in the game: How big is this game anyway? So it sounds like I've...

The game has six playable characters. Each of those characters has six “episodes”, which are like levels. There’s also a separate final episode, so that’s 37 episode in total. A normal player, playing the game for the first time will probably beat the first few episodes in about 20 minutes, but some of the later ones like the Witch episodes take more like 40. On average, I think it probably takes about 30 minutes an episode, give or take.
So it sounds like I've only been playing the first "episode" for each character so far, and didn't realize that there was anything after that. I didn't see any way to play different levels with a character, so I assume I'll need to beat the first one with each character, and then it'll move on to the second one.
Oh, that's good. I know he's planning to add achievements in the near future too, so depending on what he does with those there could be quite a few objectives to work towards from them too.

Been waiting for this one for a while. I love rogelikes and Terry Cavanagh makes amazing games. 10% off is just icing. Thanks for the heads up! :)

It looks like he's pushed a small update to make the existence of episodes more obvious.
