With the news of iam8bit pulling out[1] a few weeks ago, and the previously leaked deck[2] for what E3 was going to be like this year, this may be a blessing in disguise. I feel like E3 has had a bit of an identity crisis the last few years, struggling to figure out what they want the general admission experience to be like, and what it was in the past as a trade show. Hopefully they can figure it out next year.
Last I heard, E3 was going to be neutered anyway, right? This could be a mercy for E3
That would've been GDC, a bunch of publishers pulled out. This is another blow to the gaming industry
