I made a corn/miso/silken tofu soup the other day that was wonderful. I always forget silken tofu is a thing, and then make things like this.

    Recipe is basically:
Saute half onion (I used a whole onion)
Add corn to pan (1 15oz can)
Half Container of silken tofu (ended up being 1 1/4 cups)
11/4 cup of veggie broth (I made mine with broccoli stems/other leftover bits, but any milder veggie broth would do I think)
blend onions, corn, and silken tofu. After reaching the desired texture, mix in a tablespoon of white or yellow miso.
(could also add a little bit of pepper or something here if desired too, I didn't really think it needed anything else and just seasoned the silken tofu I fried to go on top)
serve with green onions and (any crispy crouton sort of thing really) fried silken tofu (or plain if you dislike green onions and crispy ).

A friend recently bought a compost bag (lives in an apartment) and I mentioned just making stock with the scraps and they were very annoyed with themself. I've also been doing this for a while now. It's easy enough to do, and you don't even need any special hardware (it just takes longer on the stove than in a pressure cooker in a pot). I usually make about a gallon at a time, and it'll last me for a couple of weeks (I usually use it when I make rice, or brine tofu).

I don't know what the solution is. I don't think that having the state tell people what to do with their bodies/children is the answer, and (in America at least) I don't think that will ever be an electable/actionable platform.

It sounded like you can only make worlds of levels you've made, which is kind of a bummer... it would be nice to be able to make worlds of other people's levels and kind of curate levels.

I feel like I say this every few years, get as far as looking at mods... and then get overwhelmed and decide against it haha.

A Short Hike seems like the best parts of Animal Crossing without the money, so I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy that too.

    Previous week's post
    Finished:

    • Gris - very enjoyable, ambient/atmospheric (there aren't any words in it) platformer. Playing it over the steam link on my TV was a bit frustrating (input lag was really bad for some reason), but I got over that and made it through.

    Started/Playing:

    • Persona 5 - I'm not playing Royal... but I'm getting towards the end of it ( I think). I got through most of a palace over the weekend and am at the last boss of it. I should be able to finish it in a week or two.

    Up next:

    • Where the Water Tastes Like Wine - I started this probably a year ago, but I might just restart it since it's shorter. I really enjoyed what I played of it though.
    • Alien: Isolation - Been sitting on this for a while. It's a bit longer, unfortunately, so we'll see.
    • A Short Hike - might throw this inbetween WtWTLW and Alient, but we'll see.

I'm also going to jump back onto Where the water tastes like wine at some point this weekend, I think. Which is slightly over 4 hours long if I remember the howlongtobeat estimate

    This week:
Started Gris last night, I'll probably finish that tonight or tomorrow.
    I'm about 40 hours into persona 5, I might try and make a dent in that, and then move onto the Witcher 3 (as noted last week also). I've also been playing FFXIV, which is definitely a game that takes longer than 4 hours to complete ^^;
I have a bunch more in my backlog that could fit in this week, but I doubt It'll make it on my plate.

Yeah pierce is definitely my favorite of the service weapon modes I think... I guess other modes are just in there for personal preference, but some just don't seem as useful.

I finished Zed over the weekend, which was slightly disappointing... I just wish the puzzles had been a bit more involved and hadn't just been fairly simple image-scramble bits. Otherwise the story/voice acting was pretty well done, and the visuals were compelling enough to keep me walking through it. Thankfully it was short (sub-2 hour).

I Don't think VR would've made a difference, as I said, the puzzles were the most disappointing/not interesting enough.

Hah, I've heard this a lot. I was a big fan of the first one and just never started the third (the second one was also fine but I didn't enjoy it as much).
