Hearing that Vicarious Visions is taking on this remaster after their incredible Crash Bandicoot remaster trilogy is really promising to me. They seem to really get how to do these things right and can hopefully avoid the floaty controls and issues from the previous attempt at a HD remake.

I am also really glad to see they have almost the entire music catalog back for this game as it is just so iconic to the experience.

All I really want after this is a remaster of Tony Hawk's Underground as it was my absolute favorite of the series and seemed like the last hit before the games jumped the shark.

I never had a Playstation One, but my younger cousin had. I spent a lot of time playing at his house. It was awesome. We loved Tony Hawks Pro Skater, and I was quite good at it. It felt good to be the best "skater" in the house. Until "Chuck", the neighbors' kid, came around. He was younger than both of us and got scores hundreds of times greater than ours. He was also cool and nonchalant. Didn't even sit, just leaned in the wall looking bored like the game was too easy for him. When we asked how he did stuff, he just shrugged, smiled, and kept playing. Fuck you, Chuck! Fuck you!

That said, I'm pretty excited about these remasters :)

Oh man I thought I was hot shit at these games until I played THPS4 online and met people who could score in the dozens of millions with a single combo. The key is basically to find a skate line that you can repeat without breaking combo, abuse the hell out of the multiplier system (each trick is +1 multiplier against your base score, IIRC), and use some almost-cheating grinding spots to reset the grind balance meter. I played from THPS4 through THUG2 knowing these methods and I was still one of the lowest scoring players in my group of friends.
