I bought Hyrule Warriors for my Switch a while ago because people recommended it and I was not impressed. It was one of those games with an unlocked framerate that constantly bounces between 30 and 60 FPS, which ends up feeling really bad. They didn't optimize the game enough to hold 60 and didn't bother including an option to cap it at 30. Frankly, I was surprised Nintendo let this game out the door given their reputation for smooth gameplay in almost all their titles.

I think that whole meta-series is full of very hardcore fans, because it seems like Koei makes far too many of them, and yet no other company seems to be interested in creating games that play exactly like them.
I understand that Nintendo didn't make it, but it still seemed strange to me that they would license out one of their most valuable IPs without some hefty quality control.

Continuity Rambling
If this game is canon to Breath of the Wild, and Breath of the Wild includes elements of all three timeline splits, are the shenanigans of the original Hyrule Warriors canon to the rest of the games and proof of a timeline merge?
There's also a slightly longer video that includes the trailer as well as Eiji Aonuma (Producer of the Zelda series) and Yosuke Hayashi (Producer of the Hyrule Warriors series) talking about the game.

Well, it looks like Nintendo is actually co-developing this new one; maybe it'll be a bit different?
