John "TotalBiscuit" Bain has died

Rest in Peace, John. I'd hoped to never see this post, however unlikely that was. I might just be some random stranger to you but you have been an enormous influence on my life. I've been watching your videos for the better part, if not all, of my adult life and my interest in gaming, and more to the point the industry, would never be the same without your input. It's weird that I feel like I lost a person that was incredibly close even though this relationship, as with most of your viewers was entirely one-sided. I didn't get a chance to go to CoxCon last year and I'm regretting it now even more. I would love to have met you. I would love to have said hi and to have told you how much your work meant to me and thousands of others. I hope you passed knowing that you made the lives of all those people on a cold winter night shift better. I don't know if anyone will ever be able to replace you. Goodbye.

Definitely choked me up reading the headline about this. Never really watched a lot of his videos but saw the news about his health before it all. Sad to hear about this. Rest in peace.

So young. I didn't know he was younger than me.

It's hard to believe that he is gone for me. I can't even imagine how must his family feel. Like, I knew his condition and everything but I somehow was still hopeful that he will be able to beat the odds somehow.
