Quake Pro League Season 2: Stage 1 Finals

I know that everybody is busy playing Cyberpunk 2077, but if anyone is interested in arena FPSs, the QPL Season 2 Finals is taking place later today.

This is the final day, the last players remaining are all the big names of the North American and European regions: Rapha vs. RAISY, vengeuR vs. k1llsen, and in the lower bracket cYpheR and BaSe.

The live matches begin at 14:00 GMT and are expected to last late into the evening.

How has the QC scene been holding up since Diabotical was released?

From what I can see, none of the pros have switched even though some compete in tournaments in both games. Liquid is an example of that but I suspect it's because Quake has no competitive team tournaments and Diabotical has. On twitch both pages are mostly equal with really low numbers outside tournaments, and around 2-4K viewers when there's something official going on.

I wish both would do better, but unfortunately they don't seem to appeal to the vast mass of FPS players/viewers. :(

Personally I'm more invested in Quake, because I can play it on linux, while Diabotical has anti-cheat that is incompatible.
