I don't really have the time to watch this right now, but I'm guessing this is about the "clinics" set up by religious organizations that pass themselves off as abortion clinics but are really just a scam to try and guilt people into not having an abortion, right?

There was a recent supreme court case about this which ruled that it's completely within their "free speech" rights and that California could not force them to post notices about how and where people can go to get abortions.

This is in line with there previous rulings, in particular I can think of a man who impersonated being an officer in the military, but I disagree with so much being allowed to hide behind the guise of free speech. How is a pyramid scheme not protected under the same guise of free speech? They are selling you a product that doesn't exist, for the express purpose of profiting in some manner off you. The man impersonating an officer of the military was doing exactly this - his product was his "experience" and his profit was getting hired. These abortion clinics are doing the same thing - their product is adoption, parenting, etc. and their profit is potentially converting someone to their church or adding people to their religion or at least enforcing their world view.

I saw this on Reddit and my jaw kind of dropped. It immediately made sense, and it sounded like something I knew had to be happening and felt naive for not thinking about it sooner.. But I still couldn't get over the fact people were doing something this far beyond the line.

I am fairly indifferent on this topic because I feel like a person's choice is their choice when it impacts them directly. And I feel like there are too many factors for any one on the outside to actually weigh in on for some else. Because when it comes to pregnancy, there are a lot of possible variables and it is just too messy for me to think about it beyond - their life, their heath - their choice.. Because anything beyond that is just seems messy and unempathetic.

But this crosses the line. This is ridiculously dark... People often have to drive long distances and go way out of their way in all kinds of ways and it is this big emotional thing and they build themselves up and drive all that way and end up at one of these places... What is wrong with people.. You can't put someone through that. Especially knowing you are just eating up the clock... And they have to explain to people close to them they didn't actually get the abortion and everyone has to get all worked up again..

    This is just twisted..

Isn't it crazy, the people lieing to women in their hour of need and driving around trucks with dismembered fetuses plastered on them think they're the good guys? The whole anti-choice movement is...
